Now Willick writes about the muddled message President Biden has sent lately regarding nuclear weapons — just when some clarity might have been useful, given the state of play in this world of woe. On the bright side, Biden has, out of dismal necessity, abandoned his 2020 campaign stance as a "nuclear arms-control enthusiast," Willick writes. The president reassured European heads of state last week that he wouldn't weaken the United States' nuclear-use policy. The sighs of relief needed no translation.
